About the plant
Kyshtym Copper Electrolytic Plant was founded in 1757 under the Demidov family. It has specialised in electrolytic copper refining since 1908 and has been part of Russian Copper Company (RCC) since 2003. The plant produces M00k copper cathodes to GOST 546-2001 and KMO copper wire rod on a continuous casting and rolling line.

History
- 1757 — the Nizhne-Kyshtym works is founded (Demidov family).
- 1908 — electrolytic copper refining begins.
- 2003 — the plant joins Russian Copper Company.
- 2005 — a new tank house is built to an Outotec design.
- 2007 — the SCR 2000 wire rod line is launched.
- 2017–2018 — modernisation of production.
Full cycle: from ore to wire rod
Russian Copper Company mines ore in its own open pits and processes it at its own concentrators. The concentrate is smelted at the group's smelting operations, and in Kyshtym the copper goes through final refining and becomes finished products:
- fire refining and anode casting;
- electrolytic refining — cathode production;
- stripping the cathodes from the blanks on a stripping machine and bundling;
- melting the cathodes, continuous casting and hot rolling — wire rod.
An own raw material base within one group means consistent quality and predictable volumes.
The plant's products we supply
- Copper cathodes M00k — GOST 546-2001, Cu min 99.99 % per certificates, bundles of about 2.5 t.
- Copper wire rod KMO A8 — Ø 8 mm, TU 24.44.22-060-05774969-2024, coils of about 3.3 t.
Sample certificates: numbers, dates and lot data are hidden. We are not a representative office of the plant: we supply its products directly or through an official dealer. Some photos are frames from video footage at the plant.
We send a commercial offer and a sample certificate within 1–2 business days. Copper prices change daily, so we quote for your volume and terms.
